Day 1: Airport – Negombo
Meet your guide on arrival at the Colombo air-port & transfer to a beach hotel in Negombo. You can visit a fishing village or leisure at the beach if you have time. Negombo is the closest beach destination to the air port.
Spend the overnight at your hotel in Negombo.
Day 2: Negombo – Munneshwaram – Sigiriya
After early breakfast Travel to visit Munishwaram Temple & Manavari Temple
in Chilaw. Travel to Sigiriya for overnight stay.
Munishwaram Temple
It is believed that Munishwaram predates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord
Shiva was located here. Munishwaram means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran).
Manavari Temple
Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in world named after Lord Rama.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Trincomalee
After breakfast leave for Trincomalee, visit Sri Sankaree Devi Sakthipeedam & Thirukoneshwaram temple, Trincomalee city tour, overnight stay in Trincomalee.
Shankaridevi Shakthipeedam temple
This is a prominent temple for Hindus, but it is most rarely visited and it is very least popular in all Asta Dasha Shakti Peethas. Shankaridevi temple Situated in an east coast town of Sri Lanka Trincomalee. Along with the temple of Shankaridevi, there is a temple of Lord Siva.
Thirukoneshwaram Temple
Thirukonamamalai Konesar Kovil, the Temple of the Thousand Pillars and Thiru-Konamamalai Maccakeswaram Kovil, is a Hindu temple in Trincomalee. It is built atop Swami Rock, a rocky promontory cape overlooking Trincomalee, a classical period harbor port town.
Day 4: Trincomalee – Dambulla - Kandy
Dambulla
Dambulla Golden Rock Temple, is a cave temple which dates back to the 1st Century BC. Its rock ceiling is one large sweep of colorful frescoes which depict Buddhist mythology and the tales of the Buddha’s previous births.
Leave to Kandy.
En-route, visit a Spice Garden in Matale.
Kandy
Have a city tour in Kandy visiting the Temple of Tooth/Relic. Kandy was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.In the evening you can go for shopping if you wish. Kandy is known for things such as spices, Gems, souvenirs, clothes, etc… among the tourists & locals.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Travel to Nuwaraeliya. Visit a tea factory en-route to see how the world’s favorite drink is prepared and visit Hanuman temple. Nuwara Eliya resembles an old English town,complete with a lake, race track, well- kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican Church and an 18 hole golf course. Visit Sitha amman temple & hakgala botanical garden. overnight at Nuwara Eliya.
Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple
In the hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri
Lanka built the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year.
Sita Amman Temple
The prominent temple architecture will not fail to attract your attention. Ancient statues of Rama and Sita can be seen on one side of the temple. The temple today is a modern building with its paintings, statues and pillars decorated with sculptures; all depicting the tale of Rama and Sita.
Hakgala Botanical Gardens
This is the exotic pleasure garden where King Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marries him. It was here where the heartwarming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. Part of this majestic garden still exists. It is also said that Hanuman nearly destroyed it in order to prove to Ravana of the forces against him.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Kataragama
After breakfast travel to Kataragama. En route visit, Divurumpola, Ravana Water Falls. Overnight stay in Kataragama.
Divurumpola
Sitadevi, after being liberated from King Ravana was subjected to a test to prove here chastity by offering herself to the fire. However she came unscathed and proved her holiness during this ritual at this place.
Ravana Water Falls
Ravana Ella Falls is a breathtaking waterfall, 1080 feet high (cascades into several falls). King Ravana of Ramayana legend is said to have lived in one of the caves above the waterfalls.
Kataragama
This is the temple of Lord Karthikeya Subramaniam at Kataragama. Lord Karthikeya was requested to go to the battlefield by Lord Indra on the last day of war. This was done to protect Lord Rama from the wrath of Brahmasthra aimed by King Ravana which otherwise would have weakened Lord Rama. The benefit was one of the most powerful weapon brahma asthra aimed at Lord Rama for the second time was rendered useless by the presence of Lord Karthikeya.
Day 7: Kataragama - Bentota
After breakfast travel to visit Ussangoda . Check in to your beach hotel to relax at the beach. Overnight stay in Bentota. Ussangoda According to Ramayana, after meeting Seetha Devi Lord Hanuman decided to test the strength of the mighty King Ravana and his army of Rakshasas. In the event that unfolded Lord Hanuman’s tail was set on fire by the Rakshasas, who in turn went on to torch some parts of King Ravana’s empire. Ussangoda is one of the torched areas, which is said to have been an airport used by King Ravana.
Day 8: Bentota - Colombo
Leave to Colombo and you will be able to visit Kelaniya Temple.
Kelaniya Temple
After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river.
King Vibeeshana was considered a fair king, as he supported Rama against his own brother’s injustice. Many devotees that visit king Vibeeshana’s shrine pray to him asking his intervention to a fair recourse to their problems. In the evening proceed to the airport for departure.
